MATCHi continues its international journey and growth - signs deals in Sweden, Denmark and the UK

MATCHi is one of the fastest-growing platforms for racket sports in the world. To continue its expansion and international journey of growth, the Swedish scale-up recently signed agreements with four of Europe’s largest padel chains. An important statement as MATCHi continues its mission to make racket sports easier, more enjoyable, and more accessible for all.

Press release

Since the company was founded in 2012, MATCHi has quickly established itself as a racket sports enabler – offering its comprehensive services to more than 1400 venues and housing some of the largest padel chains on the planet. The Swedish scale-up deploys a user-friendly online booking platform for the benefit of players, making it easy to book courts, pay for them, and find playing partners.

Having secured capital from Sprints Capital and Verdane, MATCHi seeks to continue its journey of growth and international expansion. The scale-up recently signed new deals with the Swedish padel giants Padel United and WAP to now entail all of their venues in Sweden. Internationally, MATCHi secured agreements with Danish fast-growing chain Racket Club and UK chain Game4Padel regarding becoming their official booking partner. Game4Padel, backed by tennis star Andy Murray, recently completed its fourth round of fundraising, securing £3m from retail and institutional investors to accelerate its growth. Deals that once again prove MATCHi’s position as a platform suited for the global racket sports community. Helena Joelsson, CCO at MATCHi, is excited about the signed agreements.

“These agreements truly are a testament to our never-ending commitment to understanding our customer’s needs and markets. To become the responsible booking partner for such esteemed and large padel venues like these is a real honor. Both the Danish and the UK market is growing at a rapid pace, a journey that we want to be part of and contribute with the experience and knowledge we’ve gained throughout the years. We have an exciting future ahead of us!”

Malin Ahnvik, CMO at Padel United, comments:

“Our goal has always been to grow the sport and make it easy for people to play in our venues. Through the help of MATCHi, we believe that we are able to do just that. We are delighted to continue our cooperation with them and aim to introduce even more people to the padel scene. Together, we can find synergies in everything we do and contribute to moving the sport forward”
