Be prepared
The summer is the busiest time of the year for outdoor venues (surprise surprise). By opening your venue in time, you'll be able to attract players when the good weather is upon us and people are having their vacations. Let’s face it, people love to spend time outdoors, and playing racket sports in the sun is a great way of getting that D-vitamin. This means you'll be able to attract more players, enhance your revenue, and establish your venue as a go-to destination for racket sports. With that being said, make sure that you’ve created a season, updated your price list, and prepared activities/courses well in advance.
The summer deal
One of the best ways to attract players to your venue is by offering deals that are beneficial for both you and your players. Let your creativity run free, how about: summer memberships, value cards, or other special offers that are tailored to your specific players. These can be a 20% discount on value cards, punch cards that are limited to Saturday and Sunday mornings, memberships that give players the ability to book a couple of extra days in advance, discounts on certain occasions or having members play your activities at a lower price. By doing so, you'll be able to incentivize players to choose your venue over your competitors.
Market yourself
Social media is a perfect way of getting people to know about your venue and what you have to offer. This doesn’t mean that you have to have your own channels, but instead, use what is already out there. Find padel groups on Facebook, post about your venue and what you offer, message friends, post on your private channels, and let people know that your venue is the one to play at this summer. Additionally, make sure to market your venue at the venue itself. This could include signage, flyers, and other contents that will get the attention of potential players. While we’re at it, don’t forget to use MATCHi’s new features where you can upload pictures of your venue so people can see what great courts, surroundings, and atmosphere they will be met with at your venue.
