First things first, your customers need to be able to enter the venue - even when you’re not there. It’s kind of a deal-breaker, to be fair. The easiest way to make this happen is by giving each and every booking a unique entrance code. Simple.
From the central midfield to the center court
Where to begin? Thomas Gravesen truly is footballing royalty, and his reputable playing career has seen him entering some of Europe’s largest stages. How about Santiago Bernabéu, playing alongside galacticos such as David Beckham and Ronaldo? Now, he’s entered yet another esteemed stage - the padel market.
“I’m actually somewhat of a padel pioneer. When I lived in Spain and played for Real Madrid back in 2006, a friend of mine decided to show me the ropes and introduce me to the sport. We played one on one on a doubles court, it was tough to say the least. We gradually started to play more frequently and I took a liking to the sport!” Thomas says.

Fast forward 16 years, and Thomas' liking has turned into a vision. With its 6000m2 and 12 courts, Vejle Padelcenter (scheduled to open during spring 2023) will be a sight for sore eyes and a true premier venue for padel - enabling visitors to get the best possible playing experience. “I’ve met with quite a few different options, but at the end of the day, MATCHi ticked all the boxes regarding what I look for in a partner. No stone left unturned
It’s fair to say that Thomas hasn't left no stone unturned in his pursuit of creating the “perfect” padel venue. A pursuit that has seen him travel across Sweden for inspiration, and that might have upset a construction worker or two along the way.
“I want Vejle Padelcenter to be for everyone, and especially the youth - a place where people meet to have fun and play the game we love. To make this possible, I've visited various venues across Sweden to gather bits and pieces of inspiration. I’m sure I've upset a few of my construction workers as I constantly bring new ideas to the table. But hey, I just want it to be perfect come opening day!” Thomas says.
